National FHA Purchase Mortgages Reaches New High

FHA Purchase Mortgage Originations reaches new two year high nationally in August 2009. There were 109, 110 FHA Purchase Mortgages in August 2009 a slight increase over the previous high in August 2008 of 107,357. See the chart below to see the monthly originations trend from September 2007 to the present.

FHA has set even more aggressive goals for Fiscal Year 2010, so these numbers my continue to rise over the next year.
